DFU stands for Device Firmware Update. This is a special mode that allows you to connect your iPhone to iTunes on a Mac or PC without invoking the iBoot process. Since the method bypasses iBoot, DFU mode can be used to update iOS, rollback and even reboot tethered jailbreak devices. When iPhone is in DFU mode, its screen is completely black.
Unlike DFU mode, recovery mode invokes the iBoot process. The process verifies that the user is installing firmware that is either correct or newer than the current one. When iPhone is in recovery mode, there will be an iTunes connection icon on the screen.

Differences between iPhone XS Max and iPhone XS
Is there a significant difference between the iPhone XS Max and iPhone XS? In this review, in a convenient tabular form, all the main characteristics of these models are compared: screen, processor, memory, battery and, of course, dimensions.

How the iPhone XS max differs from the iPhone 11 Pro Max?
How the iPhone XS max differs from the iPhone 11 Pro Max?
It is easy to answer this question using the compilation method :). I have already answered the question of how all three new iPhones differ from each other. And how the XS and 11 Pro are different.
Well, a simple conclusion. iPhone 11 Pro differs from 11 Pro Max only in screen size and resolution (5.8 vs 6.5 inches, 2436х1125 vs 2688х1242), as well as a more capacious battery.
Otherwise, the differences are the same as between the 11 Pro and the regular XS.
In particular. the same design, plus or minus the same dimensions (158 × 77.8 × 8.1 mm versus 157.5 × 77.4 × 7.7 mm, 226 grams versus 208), the same screen. Is that instead of Super Retina HD. Super Retina XDR, brighter and more contrasting. And 3D Touch (pressure detection) is no longer used, instead of it a long tap is enough.
The new iPhones use a more durable frosted glass back. And dark green was added to the usual colors (silver, “space gray” and gold).
Both iPhone XS Max and iPhone 11 Pro Max are IP68 water resistant. However, the more recent model can withstand diving to a depth of 4 meters for up to 30 minutes, and the previous one. up to 2 meters.
iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are powered by Apple’s new A13 Bionic chipset with third-generation Neural Engine AI. In fact, you will hardly notice an increase in speed, but in any case, the performance margin of the new product is higher.
The most noticeable difference is in the cameras. Instead of a double module, it is now triple. A telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens were added to the main one. We note the advanced auto-correction of the image and the excellent (judging by the first tests) night shooting mode. Flash is brighter, Smart HDR works better.
Video recording has also been improved. the extended dynamic range of the iPhone 11 Pro is now at 60 fps versus 30 fps for the XS. Optical zoom possible when shooting video. Additional chips. audio zoom (muffling unnecessary sounds) and QuickTake (start video recording by holding the shutter button without switching the photo mode).
iPhone XS vs XS Max. Which Should You Buy? | The Tech Chap
The front camera has the same resolution, but has learned to shoot 4K video at 24, 30 or 60 fps. The XS and XS Max had 1080p at 30 or 60 fps. And she also knows how to shoot slow-motion selfies (which just does not happen, yes). And Face ID just got faster and clearer.
And about the battery. the iPhone 11 Pro Max lasts 5 hours longer than the XS Max, according to Apple.
The final detail. the new models support Wi-Fi 6 (aka Wi-Fi 802.11ax). However, work at higher speeds requires a compatible router, they are still rare and quite expensive.
Oh yeah, one more thing. Included with the 11 is an 18 W power adapter, that is, fast charging from Apple for once “out of the box”.
