How To Open Huawei P8 Lite 2017
The sales of the 2017 Huawei GR5 smartphone have not yet begun (this will be called the model known as Honor 6X in our market. in our country, Huawei has so far abandoned the use of the Honor brand), as the company is preparing to sell another fresh model with the no less elaborate name Huawei P8 Lite 2017. This smartphone was officially unveiled less than a week ago and Ukraine will become one of the first countries in the world where its sales will begin. For the Ukrainian mobile communications market, this can give an extraordinary revival right from the beginning of this year. the entire market (and not just its gray, semi-legal and online parts) moves in one fell swoop to a new price level.
It’s not a secret for anyone that selling smartphones more than 10,000 hryvnias in our country, in fact, only two companies can today: Apple and Samsung. The rest is hindered by the wallets of Ukrainians, which are pretty exhausted by the recent devaluation, and the insufficient brand strength to work in this price category. In the segment of up to 5,000 hryvnias, a real slaughter is developing, where everything is cut in a row with everyone in a row. The lower the price tag, the greater the pressure from young and aggressive Chinese brands. Therefore, the most realistic price segment for which brands can compete in the current situation is a price plug from 5,000 to 10,000. Here are the older models Xiaomi and Meizu, Lenovo smartphones and they lose almost completely in technical characteristics, but are very strong in distribution (presence on shelves) and sales of Samsung A-series smartphones. In favor of Samsung, the thesis “the more expensive a smartphone is, the better it has a camera,” still works, but now we’ll put it outside the brackets to understand the situation, despite its value and significance for the audience.
What is Huawei P8 Lite 2017?
Technologically, this is a modern mid-range smartphone with a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, an 8-core (44) Kirin 655 processor, 3 gigabytes of RAM, a 12-megapixel camera with phase detection autofocus and a 3 Ah battery. Outwardly, it is very easy to distinguish by the glass back with a contoured outline (what is usually called a 2.5-screen). On sale, we will have three color options for the smartphone: white, black and golden.
Why such a name?
The semantic design of Huawei P8 Lite 2017 really carries a lot of inconvenience and adds more confusion. The Huawei P8 model was the flagship of 2015, in 2017 it is not very logical to call the phone the same name (although, if you think about it, the target audience is hardly familiar with the Huawei P8 Lite model). The company itself says that Huawei P9 Lite is a simplified version of the flagship Huawei P9, and here we are talking about a representative of a different line, so it was logical to leave the number 8. It is doubtful that we will see, for example, the version of Huawei P8 Lite 2018 next year. a company with this naming inevitably drives itself into a dead end, or rather, it simply postpones the next renaming of its lineup. From the outside, it looks more like copying Samsung’s strategy, which began to add a year to its updated smartphones of line A. But, if you look at the market, the same Apple has been doing the same with laptops for quite some time, so the idea is not very new. And its authorship, too, can not be attributed to Samsung.

What is the strength of Huawei P8 Lite 2017
Of course, there are already smartphones on the market with the same technical specifications and even in the same price segment. For example, Lenovo K5 Note and Lenovo K6 Note smartphones released last year. The difference between Huawei P8 Lite 2017 and them in the latest version of Android 7.0, as well as the proprietary interface EMUI 5.0, which is worth mentioning a little more.
In general, it is worth mentioning that in recent years, Huawei has been deliberately developing its interface, making it more and more interesting. Ideologically, these works remind me of what I did with the interfaces of my HTC smartphones about 6-7 years ago. When they were truly advanced and new features invented by HTC then moved to the Android system itself. Huawei’s advantages include its own component base (the same processors), as well as the company’s participation in the production of equipment for operators and the development of new standards, including work on 5G standards. The picture is added by the company’s success both in the global market (selling 10 million flagship model P9) and held in the past year, the third place in the market right behind Samsung and Apple. So on the local one. in Ukraine, the staff of the unit dealing with smartphones has been increased in 3 years from 2 to 100 people, and this year Huawei plans to open its own R in Kiev&D-center and enter the top three market leaders.
The company has done a really serious job and there are no barriers on the market that can stop its growth.
As an illustration, I will give several achievements in the new interface. For example, the company says that through the use of gestures, they were able to make sure that up to 53% of all smartphone functions can be reached in two clicks, and 95% in three.
The company is actively starting to use machine learning. smartphones will become smarter simply because they will analyze the habits of a particular user and respond to them, anticipating his actions. For example, if a user watches the weather every morning, then launches Facebook and afterwards twitter or instagram, then the system will regularly load all these applications into RAM, so the applications will launch instantly for the user. On the slide below is another argument: Huawei smartphones are able to recognize “unnecessary” and unproductive touches on the touch screen, ignoring them.
The company also speaks of significant improvements in the operation of the fingerprint sensor, which in the new version is also able to recognize the depth of the scallop line. In EMUI 5.0, additional isolation space appears in memory (Coolpad smartphones, by the way, have similar capabilities).
Another interesting look is the slide with automatic adjustment of the operator signal level (to the thesis about Huawei competencies in the operation of operator equipment), but I would still wait for the results of the practical use of these smartphones.
Users of Huawei smartphones know that the company takes good care of two things. speed and battery life. there are a lot of utilities that optimize the smartphone’s operation in automatic mode (for example, removes or offers to remove unused applications from RAM). But the new version of EMUI also improves security. Even SMS links are checked for phishing and a warning message is displayed. In an era of growing mobile fraud, such opportunities will not be amiss (if you don’t think so. just think about your wives, mothers and other people not so sophisticated in technical matters).
