On the phone
There is much more space in the internal memory. The number that can fit there at least 1000 numbers, it all depends on the amount of memory. But if the device is broken or lost, it will not be possible to restore.
The second storage option is Google account. It syncs a number of components to its virtual cloud. Synchronization can be established in the following way:
- Create a Google account;
- Log in to it through the mobile application;
- At the first login, the system will ask for permission to access calls and information about the contact database, agree;
- Then, in the sync settings section, check the box next to Save contacts.
Further, if you go to the same account on another device, everything is transferred there. This is convenient because if a gadget is stolen from you, you lose it or it breaks down, the necessary information about subscribers will remain at hand.
The pros of throwing everything in Gmail are always at hand. No matter what device you log in from, the required contacts will be available from.
The phone numbers that a person has synced are visible on any device where this account is open. So if you log into your Google account from a computer or laptop, you can find the desired subscriber in memory.
Sync Android with Google where to find contacts
One of the Google Drive services. This is 15 gigabytes of free space where music,,, audio tracks and other files are recorded. The address book is also saved there. If there is a photo on the account in the book, it is duplicated, and upon updating the system will pull it up on its own.
Where are contacts stored in Android memory
There are several options where it is possible to place information for communication from the phone book:
- To the memory of a mobile application that synchronizes information from a smartphone to the cloud;
- To a SIM card;
- To SD card.
These spaces exist independently of each other. The amount of space on each is limited, depending on various factors.
Where are contacts stored on Android: location
Where are contacts stored on Android? It is important for every user of a mobile device to know the answer to this question, because their safety depends on it. If you reset the device to factory settings, and the phone book is saved on the internal storage, you risk being left without the numbers of friends and acquaintances. To prevent this situation from catching you by surprise, copy and sync your contact database to virtual storage.
Where are the contacts in Android through a computer
The base is a document where all information is organized. It does not come across to the eye, because it is located in the root storage of the directory. If you want to find and retrieve it via PC, you need a USB cable.
5 points to help determine where the contacts are in Android through a computer.
Connect the device via USB to a personal computer.
- Turn on File Transfer mode.
- Move into inner space.
- Open the folder in Android where the data contacts are stored.
- There you need to find a file called contacts or contacts2.
Fast charging standard
Usb Power Delivery (USB-PD) technology has become the standard for fast charging. It was developed several years ago to transfer power in larger volumes. The maximum power of USB-PD, as we can see in the table, is up to 100 watts. Therefore, from the USB-PD connector, you can charge not only smartphones, but also some laptops that are equipped with USB-C.
The advantage of the USB-PD standard is that portable chargers that have a USB-C port can serve as a power source for other gadgets, or, conversely, these chargers can take charge for themselves, being powered by energy from third-party devices. Usb-PD chargers are capable of transferring energy at high speed, for example, to a smartphone battery. And then, also at the highest speed, charge the laptop.
Different manufacturers use the USB-PD standard in different ways, each has its own pros and cons.
How Standard Charging Works
Let’s remember the main points: every mobile phone is powered by a rechargeable battery, and each battery functions in a more or less similar way. It consists in the fact that the battery has two electrodes, positive and negative, anode and cathode. The electrodes are immersed in electrolyte. This is a special liquid that is a catalyst for physicochemical processes, during which the movement of electrons from the anode to the cathode occurs. When electrons move, an electric current is generated, which feeds the battery and charges it.
In disposable batteries, which cannot be recharged, the chemical reactions that trigger the flow of electrons only occur once. After that, the batteries become unusable. But in a lithium-ion battery with reusable charging cycles, as used in a smartphone, these reactions are renewable. During the period when the battery is gradually discharged, chemical reactions generate electricity. When the battery is recharged, these reactions, on the contrary, absorb energy.
Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging
|Voltage||Current strength||Max. Power|
|Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging||5V / 9V||2 A||18 watts|
- The technology is used in the vast majority of Samsung devices;
- Technology compatible with Quick Charge 2.0.
The disadvantage is that the manufacturer is somewhat conservative regarding the further improvement of this standard.
Initially, Samsung only used Adaptive Fast Charging on Galaxy devices. Unlike Quick Charge and other rapidly evolving standards, adaptive charging is fully compatible with the Exynos on-chip system commonly found in devices destined for the global market. Adaptability implies the ability to vary the process for different conditions. As for charging, in this case, its power changes / adjusts. When the battery is heavily discharged, it charges with increased power. As soon as the battery reaches a sufficient level, the power decreases, but not smoothly, but in steps.
To date, several charging options of different capacities are available for Samsung devices. Now it is not only 18 watts, but also 25, and even 45 watts. Support for higher rates was carried out not in hardware, but at the firmware level.
If a Samsung phone owner intends to use Adaptive Fast Charge for their device, they must additionally purchase a certified cable and adapter. By the way, there are also devices for car and regular fast wireless charging on sale. However, most Samsung smartphones support accessories that are compatible with the Quick Charge standard.
Using fast charging on Samsung phones
No matter what smartphone you use, you will constantly monitor the battery level and regularly connect your mobile device to a power source. Different models of mobile devices take different time to replenish the battery. Fast charging technology helps to reduce it. Today, more and more Android and iOS devices are receiving this function. From the name of this technology it follows that, subject to certain rules, the phone can be charged up to 80% in just half an hour.
Some Galaxy S10 phones (S10, S10 Plus and S10e) use a 15W charger (Qualcomm QuickCharge 2.0 technology), Samsung Fast Charge for Galaxy S10 5G is rated at 25W, and the S20 and Note 10 adapter supports 45W. The standard charger, with which most phones are charged, has 10 watts.
Quick Charge Basics
So we know how batteries are charged and discharged. But fast charging is different from normal charging, and in order to understand how it works, you have to learn a little about what a battery charge controller is. You will also have to remember from the school physics course that voltage is measured in volts, current strength in amperes, and watts is a unit of measure for power, that is, the amount of energy that is consumed per unit of time.
Higher amperage and higher voltage charge the batteries faster. But when it comes to the battery, these parameters are limited.
Smartphone batteries are recharged when electric current flows through them. But you need to remember that the battery cannot take on infinitely much current; at peak loads, it breaks down and collapses. This is where you need a device such as a charge controller. This controller protects the battery from dangerous current peaks. It regulates the flow of electricity that enters and exits the battery. Simply put, controllers regulate the amperage (in amperes) at which the charging process takes place, measuring both the strength and the voltage. They do not allow critical exceeding the permissible parameters that can damage the battery.
Acceptable / standard values for USB charging are shown in the table below.
|Voltage||Current strength||Max. Power|
|USB 1.0||5 in||0.5 A||2.5w|
|USB 2.0||5 in||0.5 A||2.5w|
|USB 3.0||5 in||0.5 / 0.9 A||4.5 watts|
|USB 3.1 (USB-C USB-PD)||520 in||0.5 A / 0.9 A / 1.5 A / 3 A / 5 A||100 watts|
How to Activate or Deactivate Fast Charging on Samsung Phone
You can enable or disable the fast charging function in the settings. There are two ways to get into the settings on Samsung phones:
- Lower the notification curtain and tap the gear icon, then open the Settings section;
- Tap on the Settings app icon on the phone’s home screen.
In the settings, open the Optimization section, then go to the Battery section (icon in the lower left corner). The next step is to go to Advanced Settings. To enter this menu, find three dots in the upper corner on the right side of the screen and click on them. There is a Quick Charge item in the Advanced Settings. Turn it on by sliding the slider all the way to the right. If fast charging is already on, and you want to turn it off, then put the slider in the extreme left position.

How to turn off Samsung Health
How do I turn off Samsung Health? It is not difficult to turn off this program; it will take a little time to deactivate it on your phone. Consider the features of the application and provide instructions for disabling.
How it works and how to use Samsung Health
The task of the application is simple to accumulate information, process it and present it in a visual form. With Samsung Health, the owner will be able to view all possible physical activity data.
How do I use Samsung Health? Connect the smart device to your smartphone, go to the application, after which the bracelet will be synchronized with the phone. Now you need to visit the program every day to get acquainted with the collected information. Data is constantly updated, current parameters are always available.
How to connect?
The application is compatible with devices from Samsung, including smart watches from the Gear series. It will not work with other devices, for example, Xiaomi fitness bracelets. For other devices, manufacturers release their own applications, which also provide users with ample opportunities for monitoring physical activity and health.
The connection procedure is simple:
- Run the application.
- Register and create an account.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
- Start your smart device.
- If the device is compatible with the program, then it should be defined in the application.
- Once connected, the smart device will sync with Samsung Health in the background.
- You can set goals in the application, perform other minor settings.
How to turn off Samsung Health?
To disable the application you need:
- Go to the Applications section.
- Find the desired program in the list and click on it.
- Select Memory.
- Click on Clear data.
- Click Back.
- Click on Disable.
You cannot completely uninstall the application. It is systemic, and the Android OS does not allow users to get rid of such programs. You can try to uninstall the application by obtaining Root rights and specialized software, but this procedure is too complicated and dangerous for the phone.
Clean Master and other system optimizers
The software to speed up the phone, contrary to expectations, slows down the phone. Miracles do not happen, despite the assurances of the developers of these programs. Most cleaners are only harmful. On my Samsung A5 2017, there is an Optimization section in the settings, where everything happens at the click of one button. Most phones have tools for clearing the cache and remnants of remote software. And no additional programs need to be installed.
Almost every self-respecting phone manufacturer develops and implements its own Internet browser into the firmware. It may contain spyware or sponsored links. But even if they are not there, this does not mean that the browser is good. Disable it or remove it.
It is best to install Google Chrome a simple and fast browser. If you care about privacy and don’t want to clutter up your phone space with accumulating cache your choice is Firefox Focus, a private browser that leaves no traces.
For the rest of the applications, I made a small table. Here is everything that can be disabled without affecting Android.
Facebook and other social networks
Mordokniga pays smartphone manufacturers to embed the app into the firmware. The mobile client allows you to keep abreast of your friends’ events all the time, track likes, and annoyingly notifies you about every sneeze. At the same time, he consumes a lot of resources and constantly sits down the battery. Unfortunately, this infection is not removed in my Samsung. But you can turn it off, which I immediately did, since I don’t use this social network at all. If there is a special need, I can activate the application for a while.
It is better to go to social networks through a browser (read about this below), the cutback in functionality is insignificant, in contrast to the battery resource and unnecessary notifications. The exception is Instagram.
The weather widget is also often built into the phone’s operating system. It worked for me for 3 months, and then it stopped updating the data. From this program, I always need only two parameters: air temperature and precipitation. If you need meteorological maps and other little things, then you do not need to uninstall the program. In other cases, it is advisable to get rid of an unnecessary gluttonous application that every minute tries to connect to the server. I failed to do this on A5.
You can always check the weather by looking out the window. And if you need a forecast, Google is a good predictor.
A table of applications that can be removed or disabled on Samsung. Antivirus software
Antivirus is needed if the phone is rooted, you constantly experiment and install dubious hacked applications from unknown sources. Otherwise, such protection is not required. Antivirus will also eat up memory and slow down the system unnecessarily.
If you have any suspicions, install an antivirus and after checking, remove it. I have a built-in on my phone which I also disabled.
Samsung Health: what is this program, an overview of its capabilities
Initially, the Samsung Health program was created to work with trackers and Samsung smartwatches. However, later, a number of functions were built into it to track the user’s health and provide recommendations for leading a healthy lifestyle. In addition, the program analyzes the wearer’s physical activity during the day and provides the results. Based on this data, you can improve your nutrition, increase your daily activity and monitor the health of the whole body.
The main features of Samsung Health are:
- Motivation. The application has a well thought-out reward system that assigns virtual prizes to users for certain achievements. In addition, during use, Samsung Health displays the results on special photographs in which you can track changes. Thanks to this, you will be able to set new goals and achieve them;
- Counting steps. Samsung Health monitors physical activity and tracks the number of steps taken by the user. The calculation uses GPS data and a pedometer;
- Training. Samsung Health supports multiple workout modes, including cycling, running, walking, hiking, and even cycling. In all types of workouts, you can set a goal in the form of time, distance traveled, calories burned, etc.
- Nutritional recommendations. Physical activity alone is not enough to achieve the best result. You also need to switch to a healthy diet, and Samsung Helt will help with this. You can enter information about the meals eaten and their weight into the application (up to 4 times a day). In addition, the program calculates the daily calorie intake that you need, and displays the data on the smartphone display;
- Sleep quality tracking. To do this, you need a fitness bracelet that tracks a person’s activity and the quality of his sleep. The system monitors this data and displays it through photographs on the phone screen. Based on this, you can understand whether your body is getting enough sleep and whether you need to allocate more time for sleep;
- Weight change control. This data is entered by the user independently. Subsequently, the change in weight is displayed as photographs;
- Heart rate measurement. Modern Samsung phones have a heart rate sensor. To check the pulse, you need to bring your finger to the back of the smartphone and wait for the results to appear.
There are other features of Samsung Helt, but these are the main.
