Nowadays, there is a real boom in wireless bluetooth headphones. There are many models of various brands on the market. Characteristics and are naturally different. We can say with confidence that Xiaomi AirDots today are one of the most popular models due to features, sound quality and more than affordable price tag.
However, the most common problem that Air Dots owners face is headphone out of sync. In other words, situations arise when Redmi AirDots (or any other similar Xiaomi model) do not connect with each other, and only one of the “plugs” remains working. Of course, in this regard, users are interested in how to solve the problem. There is a solution. The user will need to re-pair between the right and left headphones.
How to sync Xiaomi AirDots headphones
Here it’s good to share step-by-step instructions for synchronizing your headphones:
Step 1. Insert AirDrops into the Charging Case, each earphone into its own jack. Make sure that the case (aka charger) is charged.
Step 2. Delete the headphone connection information from the Bluetooth menu of your smartphone.
Step 3. Remove the two headphones from the case, turn them off. To do this, hold the control button on each of the “inserts” for 5 seconds.
Step 4. Now you need to perform another “reset” (the first was to remove the device from the list of Bluetooth devices connected to the phone). At this point, you need to reset the connection between the two Air Dots headphones. To do this, press and hold the control buttons on each of the “dots” for 20 seconds. The status indicator should blink twice: first after 10 seconds, and then after 20 seconds. Do not release the buttons until you see that the LED blinks a second time.
Step 5. Turn on the headphones. To do this, hold down both control buttons for approximately 5 seconds. You can turn it on in another way: just put the “ears” in the case, and then get them out of there. When you take out Xiaomi AirDots from the case, they automatically turn on.
After such a restart, you will see how the status indicator on the right earphone flashes white. At the same time, the indicator on the left earphone does not light up and remains unlit. This means that there is a connection between the Air Dots, and the right earphone can be paired with the phone.
The last step is to connect the lead (right) AirDots to your mobile device, after which you can enjoy music, audio books or podcasts, as well as receive incoming calls through the headset.
Why when connected to the phone, the headphones do not pair with each other
Sometimes AirDots are synchronized individually, that is, they do not join one another, but work with a smartphone. The reason is that the left earphone “loses” the right one, so the pair stops working together. What to do?
- Reset Bluetooth settings for Xiaomi AirDots. Start by turning off each headphone. On each, hold down the buttons (touch or physical) until the indicators light up in red.
- Press the buttons again, now for 30-50 seconds. First, the headphones will turn on, a white light will turn on, then after 10-20 seconds you will see that the indicator is either red or white (2 times). Continue to hold the buttons, the indicator will flash a few more times and go out for a few seconds. After that, it will flash twice more and the headphones will reset.
- Remove the headphones from the case. The left one will start looking for the right one, it will synchronize with it, and then the “dots” can be connected to the phone.
Another reason for the “rassynchron” is the incorrect procedure for connecting headphones to a smartphone. In this case, instead of the right “ear”, the left one is the first to be connected to the device, and starts working in mono mode. The right cannot be connected. To connect both AirDots, you will have to do a factory reset and a new connection, as described in the step-by-step instructions above (see “How to synchronize Xiaomi AirDots headphones”).
