Water should not only be clean and at the right temperature (24-28 ° C), but also saturated with oxygen.

Island. Ideally, the aquarium should contain two islands of land. On one, the temperature should be 28-32 ° C so that the turtle can warm up. Use an infrared lamp or incandescent lamp for this. At the second temperature should be 24-25 ° C. The approach to the island should not be completely made of smooth material (plastic glass), otherwise the turtle will not be able to get out on it.

Feeding a turtle depends on the species to which it belongs, individual characteristics must be taken into account: one requires the predominance of vegetables and fruits, the other vegetation, and the third meat. In addition, the diet depends not only on the species, but also on the individual preferences of each particular turtle.

Feeding basis: live fish, earthworms, snails, mollusks, bloodworms, carriage, squid meat, shrimp, raw liver, salad, carrots, clover, vegetables, fruits, duckweed, spirogyra.

Feeding turtles in adulthood is carried out 2-3 times a week. Young turtles need to be fed every day. The problem of water purification is associated with feeding. To prevent the filter from clogging, do not overfill or use too greasy food.
