How to Calibrate a Sensor on a Windows 10 Tablet

Does my computer have a touch screen

Try to tap the tile on the start page with your finger. If the screen is touch-sensitive, the application opens.

You can also check the current system settings with the mouse:

  1. Select the lower right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, select the panel Settings, then click the Change computer settings button.
  2. Select Computer and devices, and then select Computer information.
  3. In chapter A computer check setting Pen and touch input, which determines what type of input the screen supports.

If the device is equipped with a touch screen, touch input is enabled by default and cannot be disabled.

How to calibrate pen and touch settings

To configure accuracy settings for detecting touch of a pen or finger:

  1. Quickly slide your finger inward from the right edge of the screen, and then click on the Search bar.
  2. In the search box, enter a query Calibration, then click Screen calibration at the angle of a pen or touch to open the tablet’s settings window.
  3. Make sure the monitor is in the window Screen matches the screen you want to adjust.
  4. Click the Calibrate button, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

I can not open the function panel

If, when calibrating pen and touch device parameters, a quick shift from the right border of the screen does not cause the function panels to display, it is likely that Windows will not correctly recognize the edge of the screen as a result of resetting the screen borders during calibration.

Try the following steps to calibrate your pen and touch device settings:

  1. Open the function panel using the keyboard shortcut: Win C. Then click the Search button.
  2. In the search box, enter a query Calibration, then click Screen calibration at the angle of a pen or touch to open the tablet’s settings window.
  3. Make sure the monitor is in the window Screen matches the screen you want to adjust.
  4. Click the Reset button.

If resetting the pen and the device’s touch screen doesn’t help, try calibrating again, click the Calibrate button, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

To make sure that the Windows operating system correctly defines the edge of the screen, try carefully dragging it closer to the center of the screen while touching the calibration points.

How to set touch input on your screen

If you have two monitors, one of them is touch-sensitive, then the touch input signal may not work as expected. For example, clicking on one monitor causes the cursor to move on the second.

To solve this problem:

  1. Quickly slide your finger inward from the right edge of the screen, and then click on the Search bar.
  2. In the search box, enter a query Calibration, then click the Calibrate button to open the tablet settings window.
  3. Click the Setup button, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

How to change the actions of the pen and touch device

To change speed, range, and duration:

  1. Quickly slide inward from the right edge of the screen, and then click on the Search bar.
  2. Enter the phrase in the search field pen and touch, and then press the Pen button and touch input.
  3. Press or select the action you want to configure, and then select Parameters.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions.
