As you know, the Redmi line is the main series of budget smartphones Xiaomi. It is these devices that are designed for the widest user audience, and they are most known to the Ukrainian buyer. Therefore, we decided to conduct a brief review-comparison of all models in this series. In it, we will tell you how the smartphones of the Redmi 4 line differ from each other.
The most budget smartphone in the series. Redmi 4A. The so-called “lower model.” Equipped with a 4-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, a 5-inch screen and support for microSD memory cards up to 128 GB. Case material, of course, plastic.
A good “strong” state employee. Redmi 4. Everything that was missing in the “younger brother” was added to it: a fingerprint scanner, a metal case with plastic inserts and a more “serious” lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 4100 mAh (versus 3120 mAh of a Redmi 4A lithium-ion battery). Plus an improved Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. That’s just the RAM / flash memory was limited to 2/16 GB.
Redmi 4 pro
To correct this situation, the model was called upon. Redmi 4 Pro. This modification already supported 3/32 GB of RAM / flash memory. However, Xiaomi engineers would not be themselves if they had not made another important change. Namely, they replaced the processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, which significantly added to the device “nimbleness”.
Redmi 4X and Redmi 4X Pro
After a series of experiments, the designers of the Chinese brand were able to find a “middle ground”: create a smartphone with a 5-inch screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, a modified 4100 mAh battery, support for microSD memory cards up to 128 GB, and divide it into two models, taking beyond the boundary criterion is memory.
So Redmi 4X received 2/16 GB of RAM / flash memory, and Redmi 4X Pro. 3/32 or 4/64 GB. Plus a fingerprint scanner, a metal case with plastic inserts and other useful “chips”. The capabilities of the modified battery should be emphasized separately: with the same capacity as Redmi 4, the Redmi 4X battery began to hold a charge much longer. Which, of course, improved comfort when using a smartphone.
Redmi Note 4 and Redmi Note 4X
On the one hand. this pair of models, in fact, is the same Redmi 4X, but only with a screen diagonal of 5.5 inches. However, on the other hand, the manufacturer decided not to create unnecessary confusion, and not to output the “upper” models in a separate group with the prefix Pro.
Therefore, here we can find all the modifications of the smartphone. starting from 2/16 GB of RAM / flash memory, and ending with 4/64 GB.
If we talk about the differences between, directly, Redmi Note 4 and Redmi Note 4X then, in addition to an improved battery, which has become much more “tenacious”, the later Redmi Note 4X received an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, while its predecessor worked on the 10-core MediaTek Helio X20.
However, after a while, the plans of the Chinese company changed slightly, and in parallel, a modification of Redmi Note 4X was introduced, which received the MediaTek processor as the “heart”. Of course, at first, such a turn introduced a known mess among users. Which, fortunately, quickly passed.
