First of all, check who the SMS is not coming from: from one / several numbers or from all.

How to check

Suppose you are not receiving messages from a bank or supervisor. Ask your friends or relatives to send you an SMS and check if you received it.

Follow the tips below in order until you start receiving SMS.

Remove the number from the blacklist

Turn the device off and on. Try to receive SMS. If SMS arrives, everything is in order with the device. If SMS does not arrive, continue to the next tip.

Disable Do Not Disturb / Lock Mode

In the “Do Not Disturb” / “Lock Mode” mode, the smartphone / tablet disables notifications of new messages: SMS arrives, but there is no signal or notification. New SMS can be viewed only if you specifically open the “Messages”.

To turn on the alarm and notification, turn off this mode.

Check your smartphone / tablet with a SIM card of another operator

To finally find out what is the reason, put the SIM-card of another operator in the device (for example, if you use MTS. put a Megaphone) and try to receive an SMS.

The SIM card can be taken from friends or relatives, the check will take no more than 5 minutes.

It is useless to put your SIM card in another phone. You need to put another SIM card in your smartphone / tablet.

If an SMS arrives with a SIM card of another operator, then something has happened with the service provider or the SIM card has broken. In this case, contact your service provider.

If SMS still does not arrive, the smartphone / tablet is broken. To repair it, contact a Samsung Service Center.
