Connecting the IP camera to a Wi-Fi network using a computer

Let’s configure the Wi-Fi and camera. To do this:

  • Install the utility that comes with the original device, or download the software from the Internet (for example. the program “VSTARCAM” for the appropriate brand of cameras).
  • Connect the IP camera to the router, using the RJ-45 cable.
  • Open the previously installed program by double-clicking and go to the camera settings.
  • Select the “Signal search” and in the list that opens find the router and click “Install”.
  • Enter the router password to access the Wi-Fi network, click “OK”.
  • An error window may appear, but do not worry. To solve the problem, do a second search, check the status of the network cable, its connection to the camera and router.
  • If the settings are correct, the camera will reboot, then you can disconnect the cable and the IP camera will work wirelessly.

Setting up Wi-Fi via mobile device

How to connect an ip camera to your computer

Determining the address

Before you connect IP-camera to the router, you need to find out the own address of the device. What to do if there’s no image from IP cameras
